Welcome to PLAID Lab

The Political Learning, Attitudes, and Intergroup Dynamics (PLAID) Lab is a collaborative academic space dedicated to research on political perception, learning, and intergroup behavior. We study how people perceive politics, form opinions, and navigate social identities.

PLAID is a research-driven teaching lab where undergraduates learn by doing—designing studies, analyzing data, and presenting findings as active members of the research team.

While our core mission is to provide advanced training for undergraduates, our work is supported by the collaborative energy of graduate students, community partners, and professionals who offer essential mentorship and expertise.

Together, we investigate timely questions, generate original research, and share our findings with both academic and public audiences.
